Before comparing the NEOREST® models we want to explain why TOTO has earned such international acclaim for their NEOREST® series.

*TOTO recently brought in three new designs that have replaced some of the previous models. For the most part the features are very similar. The previous and new models may run along side of each other until the previous stock sells out.

CEFIONTECT®
Cefiontect® is an extremely durable and ultra-smooth glaze that is burned on top of the conventional glaze on the surface of the Toto Neorest® bowl. Conventional glazes have gaps where waste particles can attach to.
Toto Cefionetect®'s surface ridges measure 1 nanometer (1 millionth of a millimeter) which is way too small for waste to cling to. Cefiontect is hydrophilic, meaning it attracts water, and as such allows the flush water to rinse away waste instantly.
TORNADO FLUSH®
Tornado Flush® is an extremely powerful, yet quiet centrifugal flush that reaches all areas of the bowl. Tornado Flush® cleans effectively while also using less water. Toto's dynamic water jet discharges, swirling around the curves at a constant pressure flush starts. The entire bowl is washed clean. No supplemental flushes are required.
The NEOREST NX1 bowl is Rimless so there are no hidden nooks where waste and dirt can hide. When you do have to clean, it is easier to access all areas of the bowl.
The NEOREST RS, AS and LS models have a hole-free rim design that keeps the bowl clean and is easy to maintain.
EWATER+
Ewater+ is actually electrolyzed water, which is made using the sodium chloride ions in ordinary tap water. By electrolysing regular tap water the water becomes more acidic and can clean surfaces powerfully, while remaining harmless to humans and to the environment.
This technology has been used for many years in the food industry, but Toto has built it into their NEOREST® and WASHLET® technology.
As the user approaches the toilet, the TOTO NEOREST performs a PreMist of ordinary water on the bowl, making it easier to keep clean.
Ewater is also used to thoroughly clean the inside and out side of the wand both before and after use. Ewater is also used to clean the bowl every 8 hours during standby mode.
The wand is made of a high-quality waste and stain-resistant resin that is sprayed with Ewater before and after every use. The seat is coated in a clean resin that acts like a protective layer against dirt.
The new NEOREST models (AS, LS, NX1, NX2) now spray Ewater under the seat, as well as on the wand and bowl, for extra cleaning power.
WELLNESS:
WONDERWAVE® technology is TOTO's aerated water technology, that makes for a softer feeling, yet more thorough cleanse, while economizing on water.
With TOTO NEOREST® you get 6 different wash modes that vary in the spray pattern and droplet size and pressure, depending on what you need:

You can also adjust the wand position and choose 1 of 5 pressure settings.
COMFORT:
TOTO NEORESTS each have a sensor that detects the user approaching and will gently Auto-Open the lid, inviting the user to sit. Once the user departs the lid will softly Auto-Close. The settings are dialled in so that the lid open and close functions only activates when you want it to, keeping your bathroom vibe peaceful.
Soft Light emanates from the NEOREST® (either the from the back or from the bowl, depending on the NEOREST model) at night as you approach, allowing you to visit without having to turn the bathroom lights on.
As the sensor detects the user approach the TOTO NEOREST® Heated Seat warms up to a comfortable temperature.
Once the user is seated, the Deodorizer function begins to remove odors and continues to do so right after the user has left. Odors are sucked back into the unit through a carbon filter, keeping the bathroom smelling fresh.
The Warm Air Dryer is adjustable and can be activated after the warm water wash.
Auto-Flush happens automatically after the user stands up and moves away from the NEOREST®, maintaining a hygienic, touchless experience.

TOTO NEOREST® AS and RS
In Fall 2023, TOTO introduced these new versions of their previous best-sellers, the NEOREST RH + AH. These new models have a few upgrades from their predecessors and now we are better able to differentiate them.
The TOTO NEOREST RS has more softly rounded curves, while the TOTO NEOREST AS is more linear.

The NEOREST AS sprays E-WATER+ on the wand, in the bowl and under the seat, while the NEOREST RS sprays E-WATER+ on the wand and in the bowl only.
The NEOREST AS has a metal stick-style remote, while the NEOREST RS has a plastic block-style remote.
Otherwise the features are the same.

The TOTO NEOREST® RS is slightly LESS EXPENSIVE than the TOTO NEOREST® AS.
TOTO NEOREST® LS
The TOTO NEOREST® LS Dual Flush Toilet MS8732CUMFG#01S is the perfect choice for any modern space. Its distinct linear design and straight edges create a dignified, edgy presence, while its decorative metallic trim and range of matching remote control finish options - silver, nickel, or black - will further enhance your modern decor. Experience maximum utility and style with the TOTO NEOREST® LS.
The TOTO NEOREST® LS offers similar features to its cousins, the NEOREST® AS and NEOREST® RS, but with a few upgrades. The TOTO NEOREST® LS is slightly longer and wider than the AS and RS models so it feels a bit more spacious. The NEOREST® LS has a completely smooth ceramic base. Unlike the AS and RS models, there is no side panel. Another difference is that the NEOREST® LS comes with a choice of accent trim and remote control finishes, while the AS and RS models do not.
The TOTO NEOREST® LS Dual Flush Toilet MS8732CUMFG#01S replaces TOTO's NEOREST® 700H, with a fresh new look and a few added features:
- NEOREST® LS now has the new E-WATER spray feature under the seat as well as on the bowl and wand
- NEOREST® LS has the new "Auto Flush with Closed Seat" option
- NEOREST® LS has a seamless seat for easier cleaning and the lid can be removed
- NEOREST® LS has a nightlight timer feature
- NEOREST® LS has 4-user personalized memory settings on remote (vs. 2-user settings on the 700H model

TOTO NEOREST® 700H
This model is being discontinued and replaced by the NEOREST LS. It will continue to be available for purchase as long as inventory remains.
TOTO's NEOREST 700H Elongated Dual Flush Toilet - MS992CUMFG is the best choice for larger, heavier people due to the extra space. It also has a futuristic look that appeals to many people.
The access panel on the 700H is on the back, rather the side. There is less plastic on this model (bowl is 100% vitreous china), and as such the price is a bit higher on the Neorest® 700H than the AS and RS.

The TOTO NEOREST® EW Wall-Hung Dual Flush Toilet - CWT994CEMFG#01 is one of Toto's most luxurious and modern designs. Not only is the Neorest® EW beautiful, the Wall-Hung feature makes it easy to clean under and around. The tank is built into a frame, which is hidden in the wall behind, which conserves space inside the bathroom creating a clean, minimalist look.

Installing the TOTO NEOREST® EW requires a bathroom remodel or at the very least a contractor to cut open the wall to install the in-wall tank system portion of the unit, plumbing and wiring.

TOTO NEOREST® NX1
We saved the best for last. The TOTO NEOREST® NX1 Dual Flush Toilet- MS902CUMFG#01 is like a functional piece of art. With its award-winning design is reminiscent of a beautiful vase or a perfect white egg, the TOTO NEOREST® NX1 will be the showpiece of your bathroom.
The TOTO NEOREST® NX1 offers similar features to the NEOREST® 700H, but with a few differences that go beyond the obvious esthetics. The NEOREST® NX1 is the only model in the NEOREST® series that is actually made completely in Japan. The Tornado Flush system used on the NX1 is more powerful than the NEOREST® 700H because it has to cover a larger surface area.
The material used on the NEOREST® NX1 bowl portion of the unit is 100% vitreous china, just like the NEOREST® 700H, while the NEOREST® AS and RS are a combination of vitreous china and high quality plastic.
The seat on the NEOREST® NX1 rises up a bit in back, making it an ergonomically pleasing experience to sit. Both the Toto NEOREST® NX1 and 700H are longer than the AS and RS models so they feel quite a bit a bit more spacious, especially for taller people.
